Description
Pregnancy is a glorious time. It is filled with excitement, anticipation, and change. It can also be a very difficult time, filled with anxiousness, illness, and pain. Ann understands both sides, having been through them many times herself. Created for fellow mothers while half-way through her fifth pregnancy, Yoga for Pregnancy is a wonderful selection of yoga practices created by a loving mother who understands. There is an individual practice crafted specifically for each trimester, and the changes you are undergoing through each. Included in these segments are also very helpful poses, techniques, and tips to help your body and mind prepare for labor and for giving birth. There is also a segment dedicated to helping those suffering from morning sickness, as well as one designed to help with backache and sciatica, which can both be so common and debilitating through pregnancy. Finally, there is a brief yoga sequence designed to help relax your body and quiet your mind before you go to bed.

Pregnancy and Mothering are some of the most challenging and fulfilling times in a womanÆs life. An appropriate yoga practice can help us stay healthy, happy and calm, both as we prepare for and recover from our babyÆs arrival. The 30-minute pre-natal sequence is designed specifically to help moms-to-be develop the strength, flexibility and mental focus that will help them not only in the delivery process but also in facing the new challenges of mothering.

The post-natal program addresses the needs of moms who want to get back in shape while also releasing tension and fatigue. This 30-minute routine provides safe ways to build core strength, as well as effective tools for increasing energy and reducing stress. Using breath and mental focus, yoga is one of the most effective tools for training the body and calming the mind. Led by yoga instructor, Heather Seiniger, women of all levels of yoga experience can work safely and will improvement with regular practice. Modifications are offered to increase difficulty and provide a more challenging routine, as needed.

Regular practice of this yoga program can be beneficial for a range of specific conditions while helping you bring flexible, fluid movement in your whole body. About The Instructors: Charles and Lisa Matkin are experts in therapeutic yoga and have over 16 years combined experience as yoga professionals. They design custom yoga programs to help their clients address chronic injuries and illnesses.
